Two Skyline High School students have been charged in a May 8 break-in at the school that resulted in more than $1,000 in damages to the building.

The Elkton Town Council at its meeting Monday expressed its unhappiness at events which had happened over the past week, but about which it had heard nothing. Chief among these events was the cutting down of trees and shrubs at the town-owned Kite House on U.S. 33.

26-year-old Reid Wodicka starts his new role in Woodstock on June 1. He replaces outgoing town manager Larry Bradford, who spent 26 years in the post.

In a letter that Dr.Keith Rowland read aloud during a Shenandoah County School Board meeting last Thursday, he said stepping down from the position was "in the best interest of my family and those who provide me with the highest level of support."
