Singer Lauren Alaina performs Friday night

FRONT ROYAL — Rising country music star Lauren Alaina is set to take the stage at the Warren County Fair tonight.

Front Royal native Ryan Jewel will warm up the stage at 7:30 p.m. for the award-winning Alaina.

A Rossville, Ga., native, Alaina ascended to fame in 2011 during American Idolís 10th season. She was the runner-up to winner Scotty McCreery.

After appearing on the show, she singed to Interscope Records. Her first post-show single, a cover of "Like My Mother Does," reached Billboard's country chart.

Her 2011 debut album, ìWildflower,î reached number two on the Billboardís U.S. country music charts. It was followed by this yearís release of "Road Less Traveled," which has climbed to number three on the country music charts. The title track from that album reached No. 1 on Billboard's country airplay chart.

She has been nominated for a myriad of awards, and won the 2012 American Country Awards new artist of the year, the CMT Music Awards 2017 breakthrough video of the year, and the 2017 Music Row Awards breakthrough artist writer of the year.

She recently wrapped up a tour with Martina McBride, and is now performing alongside Luke Bryan on the Huntin', Fishin', and Lovin' Every Day Tour.

Tickets for Alaina's performance are available at Concert gates open at 6:30 p.m. with the show beginning at 7:30. Reserved seats cost $25 and general admission, $20.
