Kavannah M. Geisler

Kavannah Michelle Geisler, infant, died on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Page Memorial Hospital.

She was born on December 24, 2015 in Charlottesville.

Kavannah is survived by her mother, Kashaish Charvelle Jackson of Luray and father, Robert Preston Geisler, III of Stanley, brothers, Tarius & Evan Geisler of Harrisonburg and sister, Kaleah Geisler of Luray.

Grandparents are James Carter of Madison, Yvette Jackson of Luray, Julia Geisler of Stanley, and Robert P. Geisler, Sr. of Maryland. Great grandparents are Estelle Carter of Madison and Doris Jackson of Greene County.

Private services are planned.

Margaret M. Comer

Margaret Muriel Comer, 69, of Luray, died on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville.

She was born on April 29, 1946, in Luray and was a daughter of the late Reuben C. Foster and Minnie Henry Foster.

Mrs. Comer worked for VF Corporation, Avtex, and VDO of Winchester.

On September 21, 1982, she married Paul “Broskey” William Comer, who survives.

She is survived by a step son, Kevin Comer of Warrenton, and a twin sister, Martha Neighbors of Strasburg. She was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Fristoe.

A funeral service was conducted on Sunday, April 3, 2016, at Beahm's Chapel Cemetery by Garland (Bubba) Gochenour. Burial was in the Beahm's Chapel Cemetery.

Annie W. Buracker

Annie Watson Smelser Buracker, 81, of Stanley, died on Thursday, March 31, 2016, at the Life Care Center of New Market.

She was a daughter of the late Jeff Comer and Maggie Mae Smelser.

Mrs. Buracker worked as a supervisor at Rockingham Poultry for 37 years and then in the bakery for 10 years at Stanley IGA, retiring in 1993. She attended Stanley New Hope Pentecostal Church.

On May 30, 1953, she married Andrew Leroy Buracker, who died on Oct. 20, 2015.

She is survived by three daughters, Tina R. Mann and husband Shannon of Stanley, Teresa Ann Bond and husband Ronnie of Broadway, and Wanda Bernice Stephens and husband Phil of Fort Valley; her twin sister, Polly Bohon of Freeport, Texas; her grandchildren, Shane Delawder of Fort Valley, Joshua and Amber Stephens of Quicksburg, and Hannah and Phillip Crisman of Fort Valley; and her great-grandchildren, Sara, Eva, Ella and Julia Crisman, and Clara Mae Stephens. Also, a special cousin Ronnie J. Campbell of Stanley.

She was preceded in death by a son, Leroy Franklin Buracker; a brother-in-law, William Bohon; two sisters-in-law, Patsy and Reva Buracker; and a special niece, Joyce Cave.

A funeral service was conducted on Tuesday, April 5, at the Stanley New Hope Pentecostal Church by Pastor Randy Miller. Burial was in the Mount Zion Cemetery in Luray.
