Tommy D. Buracker 

Tommy David “Tommy” Buracker, 83, of Luray, died on Saturday, May 28, 2016, at Grace Health and Rehab in Stanardsville.

He was born on July 20, 1933, in Page County and was a son of the late David and Versie Buracker.

Mr. Buracker was a longshoreman in Baltimore, Md., for 30 years and moved back to Page County following retirement. He was a veteran of World War II and volunteered at the Page One food pantry in Luray.

He is survived by three daughters, Debbie, Tammy and Paula, all of Baltimore, Md.; and a brother, David June Buracker of Luray. He was preceded in death by a son, Larry Buracker; three brothers, Vergil, Roy and Charlie; and five sisters, Mattie, Genava, Fannie, Betty and Mazzie.

A memorial service was conducted at Lake Arrowhead on Sunday, June 12.

Memorial contributions may be made to Page SPCA, Page One’s food pantry or the Luray VFW.

Arrangements were handled by the Bradley Funeral Home.

Ruth I. Martin

Ruth Irene “Ruthie” Martin, 72, of King, N.C., formerly of Luray, died on Monday, May 30, 2016, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.

She was born on May 11, 1944, in Baltimore, Md., and was a daughter of the late Arthur C. and Josephine F. Meade.

On June 1, 1963, she married Carlie L. Martin, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by four sons, William Brad Jackson of Great Barrington, Mass., Linwood G. Martin of King, N.C., David C. Martin of Luray, and Ethan A. Martin of Leesburg; two sisters, Dana Bonnell of Fredericksburg, and Sara Leslie Meade of Waynesboro; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

A funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in Luray at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 25.

Timothy Harlow

Timothy Harlow, 50, of Harrisonburg, died on Sunday, June 12, 2016.

He was born on April 13, 1966, in Luray and was a son of Wilson Young Harlow and Hilda Marie Fox Harlow Yager of Harrisonburg. He was raised by his grandparents, the late Wesley and Catherine Fox.

Surviving in addition to his parents are a son, Wesley Harlow; two daughters, Kiarah Harlow and Kailey Harlow; and a stepsister, Tammy Ritenour of Luray.

A funeral service was conducted on Wednesday, June 15, at the Morning Star Lutheran Church by the Rev. Jeffrey D. Marble. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family for his children’s education.

Foltz service

A memorial service for Joseph Edward Foltz will be conducted from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, June 25, at the Foltz home at 374 Meadowview Dr., Luray.

Samuel S. Supples

Samuel Scott Supples, 68, of Shenandoah, died on Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at Inova Fairfax in Falls Church.
Arrangements are being handled by the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray.

Betty J. Miller

Betty Jane Miller, 71, of 1770 Rocky Branch Rd., Luray, died on Monday, June 20, 2016, at Winchester Medical Center.

She was born on July 14, 1944, in Luray and was a daughter of the late Alton Luther Lowery and Juanita Virginia Lucas Lowery.

On Oct. 22, 1962, she married John Alton Miller, who died on July 1, 2005.

She is survived by three sons, John Alton Miller II, Michael W. “Mickey” Miller and wife Brandy Miller, and Richard DeWayne “Rick” Miller and wife Jackie Miller, all of Luray; a brother, Alton Luther Lowery Jr. of Stanley; two sisters, Wanda Jean Spain and Sandra Kay Hilliards, both of Stanley; seven grandchildren, Rikki Miller, Kimberlin, Kayla and Cheyanne Stewart, and Brandon, Colt and Mikkayla Miller; and one great-grandchild, Paisley Miller.

A memorial service will be conducted at 6 p.m. on Friday, June 24, at the Leake’s Chapel Church of the Brethren by Pastor Joseph “Jodie” Hendricks.

Theresa F. Dispenzirie

Theresa (Fuscaldo) Dispenzirie, 80, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, June 19, 2016, at Lynn Care Center at Warren Memorial Hospital in Front Royal, Va., after a long illness.

Theresa was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and was a longtime resident of Laurel, Md., before ultimately settling in Luray, Va., in 2004.

Theresa is survived by her children, Peter Dispenzirie (Frances) of North Bethesda, Md., Gina Dispenzirie of Las Vegas, Nev., and Ann Marie Campbell (Jerry) of Luray, Va.; two grandchildren, Raymond Campbell and Luisa Dispenzirie; and one brother, John Fuscaldo (Angel). She was preceded in death by her parents, Antoinette and Pasquale A. Fuscaldo Sr.; and her brother, Pasquale A. Fuscaldo Jr.

Theresa volunteered with the Page Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and was a member of the Luray Garden Club and the Red Hat Society.

Visitation for friends and family will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, June 27, 2016, at the Bradley Funeral Home, 187 East Main St., Luray, Va.

Mass of Catholic burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, 200 Collins Ave., Luray, Va., followed by interment at Mount Zion Church of the Brethren Cemetery, 1177 Mount Zion Rd., Luray, Va.
