Jeffery C. Ritchie
Jeffery Carlton “Jeff” Ritchie, 53, of Clifton Forge, died on Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012, at Golden Living Center in Clifton Forge.
He was born on Jan. 1, 1959, in Harrisonburg and was a son of Ralph Thomas Ritchie of Lyndhurst and Thelma J. Eutsler Watson of Elkton.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his stepmother, Jean Ritchie of Lyndhurst; his stepfather Ervin Watson of Elkton; two sisters, Debrah Campbell of Harrisonburg, and Kim Dalton of McGaheysville; four brothers, Ralph Ritchie Jr. of Lyndhurst, Steven Watson of Elkton, Michael Watson of Shenandoah, and Joe Watson of Grottoes; a stepsister, Shelia Wood of Charlottesville; two stepbrothers, David and Randy Morris, both of Lyndhurst; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jack and Virginia Eutsler of Weyers Cave, and Raymond and Maybell Ritchie of Grottoes.
A funeral service was conducted on Wednesday, Oct. 24, at the Johnson Funeral Service, Grottoes Chapel, by the Rev. Michael W. Pettry. Burial was in the Port Republic Mutual Cemetery.

Quentin Pritchett
Quentin Maxwell Pritchett, 35, of Luray, died on Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012, at Page Memorial Hospital.
He was born on April 25, 1977, in Manassas and was a son of Arthur Edward Pritchett of Virginia and the late Deborah D. Horn Crigger.
He is survived by a son, Kole Pritchett of Conway, S.C.; a daughter, Brooke Arnold of Silver Point, Tenn.; a sister, Carrie M. Howard of Conway, S.C.; two brothers, Roy Jacob Crigger of Luray, and Cory Caleb Crigger of Conway, S.C.; his stepfather, Roy A. Crigger of Stafford; and his grandparents, Virgil and Elberta D. Atkins of Thompsonville, Ill.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Matthew Rexrode
Matthew Brian Rexrode, 24, of Penn Laird, died on Monday Oct. 15, 2012.
He was born on Jan. 10, 1988, in Rockingham County and was a son of Teresa D. and Jeremy Rexrode, and Delbert Leon Lantz Jr.
Mr. Rexrode graduated in 2006 from Spotswood High School, where he played baseball. He had worked for Blaugh Brothers and was later employed by Walker Manufacturing in Harrisonburg as a welder.
Surviving in addition to his parents are a son, Aidan Matthew Rexrode; two brothers, Jordan Buchanan and Mack Rexrode; two sisters, Ashley Lantz and Courtney Lantz; his grandparents, Delbert and Vivian Lantz, Diane and Steve Higgins, and Rachel and Kevin Rexrode; a great-grandmother, Dorothy Lantz; a great-grandfather, Sevie Rexrode; and a niece and nephew. He was preceded in death by a brother, Brandon Leon Lantz; and great-grandparents, Loretta Rexrode, and Lynwood and Helen Bradley.
A funeral service was conducted on Thursday, Oct. 18, at the Kyger Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisonburg. Burial was in St. Peter’s Cemetery.

Moffett Bibb Jr.
Moffett Edgar Bibb Jr., 90, of Weyers Cave, died on Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, at the University of Virginia Medical Center.
He was on born Feb. 16, 1922, in Weyers Cave and was a son of the late Moffett Edgar Bibb Sr. and Annie Leavel Bibb.
Mr. Bibb graduated from Weyers Cave High School. Following his graduation, he served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and was stationed in Hawaii. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service and served as post master in Weyers Cave from 1950-1986. He attended the St. Andrews United Church of Christ. He was an avid gardener.
On Oct. 10, 1941, he married the former Betty Powers, who died on June 1, 1988.
He is survived by a daughter, Joyce Wolf of Mount Sidney; one son, Douglas Bibb of Barren Ridge; one brother, Wade Bibb of Waynesboro; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. 
He was preceded in death by two sons, John E. Bibb in 1973, and Robert H. Bibb in 2009; and four brothers, Nelson, Ward, John W. and Harry Bibb.
At his request, all services will be held privately and at a later date.

Raenita Carter
God called another angel home, Raenita Morris Carter, 80, on Friday, Oct. 12, 2012.
Ms. Carter was born and raised in Shenandoah, Va., to the late Una and Lucy Morris.
Ms. Carter was preceded in death by her son, Norman Ray (Sean) Carter II; two brothers, Earl and Roy Morris; and a sister, Eloise Bosc.
She is survived by a sister, Larita Shuler of Stanley, Va.; a brother, Carl Morris of Dunn Loring, Va.; a son, Broc Carter and wife Alicia of Prescott Valley, Ariz.; a daughter, Lis Carter Brown of Prince George, Va.; six grandchildren, Erica Bouchard, Joshua Carter and Nicole Carter, all of Phoenix, Ariz., Brian Carter of Chicago, Ill., and Sean and Sarah Brown, both of Prince George, Va.; and two great-granddaughters, Terra and Jolie of Phoenix, Ariz.
A memorial service was conducted on Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012, at Woodlawn Baptist Church in Hopewell, Va. A private interment service was held at Grove Hill. (Paid Obituary)
