Wilbur C. Bryant

Wilbur "Bil" William Conway Bryant, 34, of Front Royal, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 31, 2016 at Warren Memorial Hospital.

A funeral service will be conducted at 6 p.m. today at Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home with Pastor Butch Hammonds officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4 to 6 p.m.

Bil was born on April 12, 1981, in Zanesville, Ohio, a son of William and Wilma Adkins Bryant.

Bil was an artist, doing artwork for BIO Clothing and several charities. He enjoyed drawing and painting.

He was a loving father, son, brother and fiancÈ. He was a member of Moose Lodge No. 829.

In addition to his parents, Bil is survived by his fiancÈe Brittany Cook; his son, Grayson Conway Bryant; his brother, Jimmy Bryant and family of Front Royal; and his sister, Debra Walker and family of Front Royal.

Stephanie M. Conley

Stephanie Irene Martin Conley, 50, of Linden, passed away on Monday, Feb. 1, 2016, surrounded by her loving family.

The family will receive friends at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, at New Hope Bible Church, followed by a celebration of life at noon, conducted by Pastor Bobby Stepp.

Mrs. Conley was born Nov. 16, 1965, in Arlington, daughter of Mrs. Doris Irene Krummbein Martin of Stephens City and the late Jerry Martin.

She was a founding member of New Hope Bible Church and was proud to be a homeschool mother for more than 25 years.

Surviving are her husband, Brian Allen Conley of Linden; nine children, Hannah Rotruck and husband Adam, Adelaide Solenberger and husband Daniel, Samuel Conley, Caleb Conley, Noah Conley, Lydia Conley, Rebekah Conley, Gideon Conley, and Malachi Conley; and one grandchild, Rayden Rotruck.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to New Hope Bible Church, 80 N. Lake Ave., Front Royal, VA 22630 or to Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 W. Cork St., Winchester, VA 22601.

Edward E. Deavers

Edward E. Deavers, 79, of Front Royal, died Tuesday, Feb.2, 2016, in Woodstock.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb.5, at Shenandoah Memorial Park in Winchester.

Mr. Deavers was born Jan. 4, 1937 in Rileyville, son of the late Paul Irvin Deavers and Nellie Mae Young Travis.

He retired as a construction worker.

Surviving are his wife of 21 years, Anna Deavers of Front Royal; three children, Deborah Cornwell and husband George ìDickeyî Cornwell of Strasburg, Paul Deavers and James ìRickyî Deavers, both of Front Royal; stepdaughter Sheila Haun of Flint Hill; four grandsons; two granddaughters; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son David Deavers; stepson Terry Fritts Jr.; and stepdaughter Tammy Ricketts.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal.

Loretta M. Kibler

Loretta Jean Mills Kibler, 73, of Strasburg, formerly of Front Royal, died on Friday, Jan. 29, 2016 at Heritage Hall.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, at Maddox Funeral Home, conducted by Pastors Bobby and Diann Whetzel. Inurnment at Willis Chapel Cemetery will be held at a later date.
Loretta was born Feb. 11, 1942, in Front Royal, daughter of the late Johnnie and Frances Kenney Mills. She worked for many years as an insurance processor at Avtex.

Loretta was co-owner of A Moveable Feast Catering with Ginger Marlow and also worked as interior decorator with Melvin Baugher and Baugherís Decorating Service. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and Front Royal Women of the Moose Lodge 1194. She was the wife of the late John Lynwood Kibler.

Surviving are her daughter, Kimberly K. Cummings and husband Joseph Kanson III of Martinsburg, W.Va.; her special cousins Bonnie Shipe of Strasburg and Betty Compton, Jimmy Kenney and Gloria Groves, all of Front Royal; three grandchildren, Justin Kanson, Joseph Kanson IV and Qrystin Kanson; and three great-grandchildren.

Honorary pallbearers will be Kay Cameron, Judy Hupman, Joyce Marlow, Marie Longerbeam, Betty Ann Wines, Eva Mae Piffer, Vallie Duncan, Pat Garrett, Kathy Cox, Donna Noble, Ginger Marlow and Shelly McClain.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.

Edward J. Norman

Elizabeth B. Norman

Edward James Norman, 63, of Front Royal, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2016, at Winchester Medical Center, and Elizabeth Brennan Norman, 65, of Front Royal, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016, at Warren Memorial Hospital.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at noon Saturday, Feb. 6, at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church with Father Jerome Fasano as celebrant. The family will receive friends at the church from 11 a.m. until the time of the Mass.

Edward was born on Feb. 12, 1952, in Frankfurt, Germany, a son of the late Raymond and Pansy Davis Norman.

He was an accomplished guitar player, enjoyed fishing, animals, and spending time with family and friends.

Elizabeth was born Oct. 13, 1950, in Hartford, Conn., a daughter of the late William and Althea Oemcke Brennan.

She enjoyed reading, sewing, cooking and spending time with family and friends. She had a special love of animals.

Edward and Elizabeth were married 45 years.

Edward and Elizabeth are survived by their children, Carlye Schuldt of Front Royal, and Heidi Norman of Seattle, Todd Brozek of San Diego; their grandchildren, Nicholas Schuldt and Madison Schuldt; Elizabeth's brothers, William Brennan of Herndon, and Steven Brennan of Reston; her sisters, Virginia Brennan Colvin of York, Pa., Althea Brennan Avakian of Bristow, and Christine Brennan Hicks of Clearwater, Fla.; Edward's sisters, Fran Kline of Davenport, Iowa, and Betty Taylor of Louisiana.

In addition to their parents, Edward was preceded in death by his brother Robert Norman.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Alice Brennan.

Robert E. Scott Jr.

Robert Edward Scott Jr., of Front Royal, passed away on Friday, Jan. 29, 2016 at Heritage Hall in Front Royal.
All services will be private.

Mr. Scott was born July 15, 1941, in Lexington, a son of Robert E. Scott Sr. and Mildred Shaner Scott Athey.

He was a paver operator for Apax until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working.

He is survived by his son Jeff Scott of Woodstock; his daughter Missy Bradley of Front Royal; two sisters; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mr. Scott was preceded in death by two brothers and one grandchild.

Jacob F. Sisk

Jacob Franklin ìJakeî Sisk, 79, of Front Royal, died on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2016 at Lynn Care Center, surrounded by his family.

Jake was born Sept. 2, 1936, in Rappahannock County, son of the late Roy Thomas Sisk and Alice Virginia Jenkins Sisk.

He is survived by three children, Sharon Greaser and husband Brent of Bentonville, Melody Heflin of Front Royal and Timothy Sisk of Strasburg; daughter-in-law Pam Sisk of Front Royal; one brother, David Sisk of Sumerduck; one sister, Betty Lillard of Alexandria; 11 grandchildren, Ashley Williams, Michael Cochran, Christopher Cochran, Jeremy Heflin, Jessica Heflin, Gregory Sisk, Shelly Sisk, Jacob Greaser, Allison Ross, Kyle Sisk, Cayton Sisk, and Tammany Armentrout, whom he considered a grandchild; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Along with his parents, Jake was preceded in death by his son Gregory "Greg" Sisk; and brother Tommy Sisk.

Jake lived his life to the fullest on his own terms. He has requested no services and that his remains be donated to science that he may continue to help others in need.
