Janet M. Crabbe

Janet Marie Kohlwey Crabbe, 96, of Harrisonburg, passed away Friday, April 15, 2016.

Mrs. Crabbe lived her entire life in the Harrisonburg community.

Surviving are three children, J. Lorraine LaPrevotte (Paul) of Hinton, Irvin Richard Crabbe (Mary) of Front Royal and Marie E. Murphy (Ray) of St. Augustine, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Tassie Pippert, Bobbie Arbogast, Paul LaPrevotte, Tina Page, Irvin Crabbe Jr., Mitzi Cole and Michele Crabbe; 11 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held Tuesday, April 19, at Lindsey Funeral Home in Harrisonburg.

Joseph E. Lauder

Joseph Edward Lauder, 71, of Front Royal, passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at his home.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 W. Main St., with Pastor Steve Guizar officiating. Burial to follow in Panorama Memorial Gardens.

Joe was born Sept. 26, 1944, in Warren County, to Carson Crawford and Gloria Romaine Lauder.

Surviving along with his mom is his loving wife of 41 years, Karen; brother, Carson Lauder and wife Roberta; three daughters, Michele Lauder Robinson and Mark, Samantha Lauder and Curtis, April Lauder and her fiancÈ Bruce Murphy; two sons, Joshua Lauder and his wife Jenny, Jacob Lauder and his wife Michelle; 15 grandchildren, Leslie, Jacob, Johnny, Cassie, Keegan, Tara, Travis, Tyler, Carrie, Alden, Mackenzie, Christina, Cheyenne, Chase and Christa; four great grandchildren, Noah, Tucker, Sawyer and Gabriel.

He is also survived by a daughter and son from a previous marriage, Tammy Roush and Timothy Lauder and grandchildren, Lacey, Ian and Jamison, all of Ohio.

Along with his father, Joe was preceded in death by his sister, Pamela Payne, father and mother in law, James V. and Refa F. Blakely and grandchild, Charis.

He was a 1963 graduate of Warren County High School, where he played basketball, football and was one of Warren Countyís star pitchers. He also played for the American Legion Post 53 baseball team and coached Little League.

Joe was a loving husband, dad and son. His family was the joy of his life. He enjoyed writing, taking pictures and since he was an avid sports player himself, he enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren play sports.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Maddox Funeral Home. After the funeral, there will be a gathering at Front Royal Church of the Nazarene, 1107 Monroe Ave.

Pallbearers will be Joshua Lauder, Jacob Lauder, Mark McCaffrey, Bruce Murphy, Curtis Ray, Johnny Robinson, Keegan Lauder, Tyler Barisciano, Alden Murphy and Travis Custer.

Honorary pallbearers will be Roy Murphy, Harry Richardson, Harry Reed, Roger Cunningham, Carson Lauder, Giles Darr and Hank Blakely.

Roger E. Licklider

Roger Earl Licklider, 76, died at his home in Middletown on April 4, 2016.

He will be remembered as a beloved father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend. He was born in 1939 and grew up on 9th Street in Front Royal.

He attended school in Warren County and, as an avid sports enthusiast, enjoyed playing baseball while on the Babe Ruth League, as well as many other sports. As an adult, his love of baseball carried over to coaching his sonís Little League team.

In 1956, he married his high school sweetheart, Minnie Funk, to whom he was married for 43 years.

In his early days, he worked at the Silk Mill and later became a foreman for Avtex Fibers. Before retiring, he worked as a water treatment operator for ERM Group, Inc.

As a member of the United Methodist Church, he enjoyed attending services in Front Royal and Limeton and was an active member of the congregation. He was a Lions Club member and served as a past president.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Giles H. Licklider and Louise Brady Licklider, and a brother, Giles Licklider Jr.

He is survived by his children, David Andrew Licklider of Stephens City and Josie Ann McCarty and her husband, D. Jay McCarty, of Clifton; a sister, Ann Alger and her husband, Shirley, of Rileyville; and his former wife, Minnie Licklider, of Front Royal. He adored his grandchildren, Christopher Joel McCarty of Atlanta, Jesse Tyler McCarty of Fairfax, James Cole McCarty of Clifton and Ellyse Nicole Licklider of Stephens City.

He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends, all of whom will miss him and remember him as a man of humor, dedication and faith.

His celebration of life was held Saturday, April 9, at Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home in Front Royal.

Georgie I. Pritchett

Georgie Idella "Sam" Pritchett, of Linden, was called home from this Earth on April 2, 2016, to come be with her Lord and family.

Ms. Pritchett was born June 7, 1951, in Warren County, a daughter of the late Robert Earl Yager and Georgie Marie Wirt Yager.

She worked at Avtex Fibers, Shenandoah Fiberglass and Strasburg Automotive.

Ms. Pritchett enjoyed her family and friends, being outside watching the deer and wildlife, cooking and baking and her dogs.

She is survived by two brothers, Robert Elton Yager of Nashua, N.H., and Roger Lee Yager of Front Royal; her twin, Gracie Madella ìPeteî Everhart of Augusta, W.Va.; two sons, Robert A. Hall Sr. and Steven Allen Henso of Front Royal; five stepchildren, Cheryl Largent, Terry Henson, Dougie Henson, Jeffrey Henson and Kevin Henson; 22 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild, with two expected this summer.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Walton Yager and a nephew, Jason Allen Yager.

Services will be held at a later date.
