Adelle P. Bedrossian

Adelle Michels Parsons Bedrossian, of Bentonville, passed away on May 4, 2017.

Adelle was born Dec. 8, 1930, and raised in Philidephia.

Preceding her death, were her parents, Dr. Nicholas A. Michels and stepmother Hilda Datty Michels. Her biological mother, Martha Anna Tweedale, died at an early age when Adelle was 8 years old. She also was preceded in death by her first husband, Dr. Sidney A. Parsons Jr., and second husband, Dr. E. Howard Bedrossian.

Adelle is survived by two sons, Jeffrey P. Parsons of Bentonville, and Charles R. Parsons of Jupiter, Fla.; three stepchildren; Trinda Ristau Bedrossian of El Macero, Calif.; Bill Bedrossian of Wheaton, Ill.; and Ned Bedrossian of Springfield, Pa.; brother Dr. H. Harvey Michels of West Hartford, Conn.; 21 grand- and step-grandchildren, and 10 great- and stepgreat-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held in Adelle's hometown of Hilltown, Pa., at a date to be determined.

Sylvia P. Brinklow

Sylvia P. "Pat" Brinklow, 78, of King George and formerly of Front Royal, passed away Sunday, May 7, 2017.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas C. Brinklow; sons, David A. Brinklow and Todd C. Brinklow , both of King George; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; brothers, Raymond Payne, Richard K. Payne and Ronald G. Payne; and sister Judith Walton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar W. and Rosa Mae Payne; and brother, Roland Payne.

A service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Covenant Funeral Service, 4801 Jefferson Davis Hwy., Fredericksburg. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Community Baptist Church, 44 Lorenzo Drive, Falmouth, VA 22405.

David M. Lewis

David Michael Lewis (Dave), 51, passed away on Saturday April 29, 2017.

Mr. Lewis was born in 1965 in Washington, D.C., the son of Carol June Haines. Mr. Lewis married Vickie Alane Lewis on Jan. 25, 1986, in Winchester.

Along with his wife, Mr. Lewis is survived by his daughter Shantel Shabrae Lewis of Front Royal; son Cody Austin Lewis of Front Royal; four grandchildren,; three brothers, Raymond Leslie Lewis of Inwood, W.Va., John Stephen Lewis of Stephens City and Frank Daniel Myers of Winchester; mother, Carol June Haines of Winchester; and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Lewis was preceded in death by his brother Allen Lewis Jr. and stepfather, Franklin Daniel Myers.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. today at Master's Touch Ministries, 19959 Fort Valley Road, Strasburg, with Pastor Chuck Jarrett officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service. A reception will follow the service at the church.

Richard A. Maute Jr.

Richard Allan Maute Jr., 61, of Linden, died on April 23, 2017.

Mr. Maute was born Nov. 30, 1955 in Germany, son of Richard A. Maute Sr. and Helen Bernice Fletcher Maute.

Surviving are one sister, Toni Robinson of Honolulu, Hawaii and two nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Thomas John Maute.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 13, at the home of Jennifer Maute, 1098 Martinsburg Pike, Winchester, Va. 22603.

William J. McKiernan III

Bill McKiernan passed away Thursday, May 4, 2017.

Bill was born Jan. 31, 1954, in Washington, D.C., the son of William J. McKiernan Jr. and Margaret M. McKiernan of Arlington.

Bill is survived by his sister Kathleen Brugh, many nephews and many close cousins and dear friends and his devoted kitty companion Sophie.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at a later date at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Front Royal, followed by a celebration of his life. Interment will be private at Quantico Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations are being accepted in his memory at the Humane Society of Warren County, 1245 Progress Drive, Front Royal, VA 22630, or to an animal shelter or rescue of your choice.

Georgia I. Mosser

Georgia Irene Mosser, 81, of Luray, died Thursday, April 27, 2017, at Winchester Medical Center.

She was born Feb. 3, 1936, in Jonesville, a daughter of Thomas Marshel Flanary Sr. and Iva Glenn Thomas Flanary.

On March 9, 1954, she married Frederick Hilen Mosser, who survives.

Surviving in addition to her husband are three daughters, Linda Sue Madden of Inwood, W.Va., Teresa Ann Riley of Stanley, and Rhonda Joanne Mosser of Luray; a son, Frederick H. Mosser Jr. of Front Royal; two brothers, Thomas Marshel Mosser Jr. and Arnold Flanary; two sisters, Opal Maxie Blaugher of Harpers Ferry, W.Va., and Frances Moyers of Sneedville, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Barbara Winpigler; and two brothers, Harold M. and Billy Joe Flanary.

A funeral service was conducted Tuesday, May 2, at the Bradley Funeral Home, Luray, by the Rev. Terry Cave. Burial was in the Stanley Advent Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with expenses.

Rex F. Oliver

Rex Franklin Oliver, 78, of Front Royal, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2017.

Mr. Oliver was born Dec. 31, 1938, in Warren County, son of Roy Franklin Oliver and Celestine Josephine McDonald Oliver. He was married to Joyce Ann Henry Oliver.

Surviving are his daughter, Missy Oliver; two sisters, Janie Revells and Barbara Boyd, both of Front Royal; one grandson; and one great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and sister Beatrice Atkins.

A funeral service was held Monday, May 8, at Maddox Funeral Home, Front Royal, conducted by Sammy Campbell. Burial followed in Prospect Hill Cemetery.

Randall E. Perko

Randall E. Perko, 87, of Front Royal, passed away Friday, May 5, 2017.

Mr. Perko was born on June 15, 1929, in West Frankfort, Ill., to Andrew Perko and Nina Hays Perko.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Donna Matthews.

Survivors include his two sons, Mark A. Perko of Front Royal and David R. Perko of Linden; two brothers, Charles Perko of Manassas and Larry Perko of Chicago; sister Darlene Sweeney of Chicago; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Larry J. Phillips

Larry Joseph Phillips, 69, of Bentonville, died on Tuesday, May 2, 2017.

Mr. Phillips was born May 7, 1947, in Maryland, son of John Earl Phillips and Levie Alice Carr Phillips.

Surviving are his daughter Wendy Phillips Taylor of Bentonville; son Colby Phillips of Winchester; sisters Marsha Smelser and Lois Smelser, both of Front Royal; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Donnie Phillips.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 20, at the Browntown Community Center

Arrangements are by Maddox Funeral Home, Front Royal.
