Maydean S. Brinklow


Maydean Elizabeth Stanley Brinklow, 71, of Front Royal, passed away Saturday, July 1.

Funeral services will be held on at 2 p.m. today at Maddox Funeral Home. 105 W. Main St., with Sammy Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Willis Chapel Cemetery.

Mrs. Brinklow was born on March 28, 1946, in Rappahannock County, to Gilbert Clatterbuck and Mathia Walters Cameron.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Tina Lynn Ammands; sister Virginia Cline; and brother Eugene Cameron.

Survivors include her husband, Grafton D. Brinklow, Jr. of Front Royal; son, Earl W. Stanley Jr. of Front Royal; three daughters, Deanie L. Swartz of Boonsboro, Md., Robin L. Day of Winchester and Melissa E. Stanley of Front Royal; brother, Webster T. Cameron of Front Royal; two sisters, Pat Summerland of Wardensville, W.Va., and Darlene McGovern of Front Royal; 10 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.



Rupert F. Froehlich


Rupert Franz Froehlich, 78, of Strasburg, passed away June 28, 2017.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday, July 10, at the Stover Memorial Chapel, Strasburg.



Robert E. Frye


Robert ìBobbyî Edward Frye, 69, of Castleton, passed away Saturday, July 1, 2017.

Bobby was born on March 2, 1948, in Flint Hill, to James Nervy Frye and Rixey Riley Walters Frye.

Survivors include his wife Teri Lynn Frye of Castleton; brother James Eugene Frye of Gloucester, Mass.; two sisters, Lucy Rutherford and Emma Clifton, both of Front Royal and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Sarah Foster, Ethel Frye and Ella Eubanks; and brother Howard Walters.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 8, at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 W. Main St., with Pastor Roy Riley officiating. Burial will follow in Flint Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to the Front Royal VFW Post 1860 in Bobbyís honor.



Carolyn M. Greaser


Carolyn Sue Myers Greaser, 87, of Front Royal, passed away on Wednesday, June 28.

Mrs. Greaser was born on Sept. 28, 1929, in Preston County, W.Va., daughter of Eva Maxine Wolfe Foster.

She was preceded in death by her mother and her husband, Clarence Joseph Greaser.

Surviving are two sons, Brent Greaser of Bentonville and Ronald Greaser of Melfa; two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was held Wednesday, July 5, at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Kingwood, W.Va., conducted by Sammy Campbell.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Marlow Heights Baptist Church, 517 Braxton Road, Front Royal, VA 22630 or the Skyline Terrace-Memory Lane Unit patient fund, 123 Lakeview Drive, Woodstock, Va. 22664.

Arrangements were handled by Maddox Funeral Home, Front Royal.



Shirley J. Marshall


Shirley Jeannette Marshall, 73, of Front Royal, passed away Monday, June 26, 2017.

Mrs. Marshall was born on July 19, 1943, in Alexandria, daughter of Veldon Bernice and Myrtle Ethel Dingus Layne. She was married to the late Robert Nathan Marshall.

Surviving are four children, Markus L. Marshall, Steven S. Marshall, Jeannette Dick-Oakes and Matthew N. Marshall, all of Front Royal; brother Terry Layne of Houston, Texas; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren

A funeral service was held Friday, June 30, at Maddox Funeral Home, Front Royal.

James T. Sealock


James Thomas "Tommy" Sealock, 81, of Front Royal, passed away Monday, July 3, 2017.

Tommy was born March 15, 1936, in Warren County, son of William and Eliza Sealock. Tommy married Dot Rosenberry on Dec. 27, 1954.

Along with his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Charlotte Stoots and Sharon Kindall; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and his two canine daughters, Sweet P and Lady.

In addition to his parents, Tommy was preceded in death by his daughter Penny Myers; two sisters, Annabelle Dodson and Margaret Shipe; and brother, Willie Sealock.

The family will receive friends at 1 p.m. Friday, July 7, at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 W. Main St., with a funeral service at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Reliance Cemetery. A reception will be held at Front Royal Church of the Brethren on 13th Street in Front Royal immediately following the burial.
