Rebecca M. DeCecco


Rebecca (Becky) Eileen Maley DeCecco, of Linden, daughter of the late Fairfax County Police Capt. James W. Maley and Lillian Weaver Maley, died Sept. 7, 2017.

She was survived by her husband, Dana DeCecco of Pittsburgh; and her children, Michelle Dansie of Salt Lake City, Angela Smith of Linden and Robert Quigley of Winchester; five grandchildren; and a great granddaughter. Rebecca is also survived by two siblings, Ruth Maley Kemp of Greenville, N.C., and Richard Maley of Lakeland, Fla.; as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Rebecca was preceded in death by her brother, Ronald Maley of Culpeper.

A memorial service and celebration of life will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 W. Main St.



John W. Good


John William Good, 81, of Front Royal, formerly of Harrisonburg, passed away on Sept. 3, 2017.

Mr. Good was born Sept. 23, 1935 in Browntown at the old family homestead. He was the son of Clarke Malone Good and Julia Virginia Deavers Good.

Surviving are one daughter, Leisa Bain Good Corbett, along with numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Myra Henry Good and half-sister Cecile Good Vaught. Mr. Good also had an extended family consisting of stepdaughter Vickie Rae Winegord and her son.

Family night will be at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22, at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 W. Main St. The memorial service will at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, also at Maddox Funeral Home, with Sammy Campbell officiating. After the service, burial will be at Prospect Hill Cemetery in the Good familyís section.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Warren County, 1245 Progress Drive, Front Royal, VA 22630. Sympathy cards may be sent to the family at John Good, P.O. Box 957, Front Royal, VA 22630.



Jeffrey D. Keen


Jeffrey Dean Keen, 57, of Front Royal, passed away peacefully at home.

Mr. Keen was born May 17, 1960 in Richlands to Donald Roby Keen and Violet Johnson Keen.

Surviving along with his parents are his wife Cynthia Keen; daughter Shannon Lacey Farris; sister Donna Keen; two brothers, Tim Keen and Doug Keen and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held on Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Battlefield Baptist Church, 4361 Lee Highway, Warrenton, Virginia. The family received friends Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 W. Cork St., Winchester, VA 22601.

Arrangements were handled by Maddox Funeral Home.



Gary R. Raines


Gary R. Raines, of Front Royal, passed on June 16, 2017.

Gary was born Oct. 2, 1949, in Westernport, Md. He was preceded in death by his father Harold Paul Raines and mother Mildred Louise Westfall Raines, as well as four brothers: Roger, Tom, Gene and Norman Raines.

Gary is survived by one brother, Richard A. Raines, his wife Violet Berdine Hardman Clatterbuck Raines and their son Bruce Clatterbuck, of Tacoma, Wash.

Arrangements are being handled by Maddox Funeral Home.



John S. Wimmer


John S. Wimmer, 71, of Front Royal, passed away Thursday, Sept. 7, 2017.

He was born July 7, 1946, and was a lifelong resident of Front Royal.

He is survived by his wife Joyce and her adult children, Aaron Jenkins of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; Christopher Jenkins of Cranford, N.J.; Rebecca Koosman of Ramsey, Minn.; and Jennifer Bitsky of Columbia, S.C., and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother Dora Wimmer and first wife Deborah.

Burial will be held at a later date at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Front Royal.

Arrangements are being handled by Maddox Funeral Home.
