Nancy Lou Aleshire, 66, of Front Royal died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, in Front Royal.
Services will be private.
Mrs. Aleshire was born Aug. 5, 1946, in Warren County, daughter of the late Fred and Mildred Vincent Bennett. She was married to the late Junior F. Aleshire.
Surviving are a sister Helen Airhart of Front Royal; two brothers Harrison Bennett and Ralph Bennett both of Front Royal; a half-sister Mary Ann Rogers of Front Royal; and two half-brothers Jimmy Bennett and Charlie Bennett both of Front Royal. He was preceded in death by a brother Aubrey Bennett.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Junior and Nancy Aleshire Charitable Trust, 128 E. Main St., Front Royal, VA 22630.
Arrangements are being handled by Maddox Funeral Home.
Patricia Lee Deavers
Patricia Lee Deavers, 67, of Front Royal, died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, at Winchester Medical Center.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 2, at Maddox Funeral Home conducted by Samuel Campbell. Burial was at Prospect Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Deavers was born June 28, 1945 in McKeesport, Pa., the daughter of the late Raymond and Madeline Travers McCall.
She is survived by her husband, Harry D. Deavers, Jr.; 10 children, Rachel Marshall (Dave) of Franklin, N.C., Lisa Bull (Donald) of New Market, Evelyn Baggette (Tony) of Rileyville, James Cox, Jr. (Rita) of Luray, Madeline Martin (Todd) of Front Royal, Pam Butler (Mark) of Front Royal, James Deavers (Tammy) of Front Royal, John Deavers of Front Royal and Thomas Cox of Strasburg; two sisters, Darlene Conard (Emil) of North Versilles, Pa. and Freida (Terry) McCall of Apollo, Pa.; two brothers, Danny Brinkman and Kenny Brinkman of Pa.; 25 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Harry David Deavers, III; a daughter, baby girl Cox; a brother, Fred McCall; and a sister, JoAnne Munson.
Pallbearers were Tyler Deavers, D. J. Henry, Mike Reardon, Wesley Deavers, Paul Hoffman, and Matthew Armentrout. Honorary pallbearers were Kyle Marshall, Brian Marshall, Tony Baggette, Shane Jenkins, Jerimiah Ratigan, and Todd Martin, II.
Elizabeth “Liz” Davis Leach Payne
Elizabeth “Liz” Davis Leach Payne, 82, of Front Royal, died Friday, March 1, 2013, at her home.
A funeral service was held on Friday, March 8 at Maddox Funeral Home with the Rev. Wendi Davis officiating. Interment followed in the Prospect Hill Cemetery.
Liz was born June 14, 1930, at the Remount Army Post in Warren County, daughter of the late Sgt. Richard Tasker Leach and Sarah Williams Leach. She worked for over 15 years with Burke’s Associated Enterprises.
Surviving are her loving husband of 67 years Albert Payne; one son Bruce Payne and his wife Sharon of Waynesboro, Va.; one daughter Denise Payne-Jenkins of Front Royal; one brother Randolph “Dossie” Leach of Front Royal; three grandchildren Nikki, Adam, and Nicholas; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Liz was preceded in death by one brother Dennis Leach and one sister Nannie Hazelette.
Pallbearers were Robert Payne, Steve Payne, Randy Leach, Pat Adams, Mike Sirnia, and Tony Green.
Honorary pallbearers were the Ladies Auxiliary of the Giles B. Cook Post 53 of the American Legion and the Front Royal Women of the Moose Chapter #1194.
