Football Roundup, 11/10: Seeding holds in big wins for Luray and Central

There were no upsets in tonight's four Region 2B playoff games. No. 4 Luray will play at No. 1 Clarke County next Friday, while No. 2 Central will host No. 3 Robert E Lee.

This Weekend's Highlights:

Luray 29, East Rockingham 13

Luray scored three touchdowns in the second half and led 29-7 with two minutes to play in a physical, chippy rematch of last week's shootout between the Bulldogs and Eagles.

Central 42, Buffalo Gap 14

Kyle Clanton scored a touchdown on a 76-yard sweep on Central's first offensive play of the game, and the Falcons earned their 11th win of the season. A potential shootout with Robert E. Lee awaits next Friday in Woodstock.

Clarke County 63, Strasburg 20

The Rams snuck into the playoffs as a No. 8 seed, and their season ends in a rematch with the No. 1 overall seed.

Robert E. Lee 49, George Mason 20

The Patriots outscored the Leemen 20-14 in the second half, but Lee led 35-0 at halftime.

In the Class 1 playoffs, Altavista eliminated Stonewall Jackson 48-6.
